Expanding the Site

Expanding the Site

Hello,

This is the Store Owner, Chris Witt. I'm currently in the process of upgrading my storefront to be more professional and more useful to my customers. So I hope you don't mind if sometimes the site looks a little messy as I work out how to build the site and store I want.

Plans for the site

Right now my product lineup is limited, so the basic storefront makes sense, but I want to build up my lineup to include hundreds of different items for various types of makers and inventors. I want this site to be a hardware store that sells the hardware others don't or wont carry. That's why I started with 18650 and 21700 cells. There was just no good place to buy them locally, and the fact that they're dangerous goods made them almost impossible to get otherwise unless you where willing to buy hundreds and could deal with importing them yourself.

So for the site, I'm goanna start here, in this new News section where I'll be posting all about my work on the site, as well as articles on how orders are packaged, and how I test each and every cell that get's sold. The kind of stuff that builds trust and will hopefully increase the confidence buyers have in my store. I'll also be performing tests of my other products, like testing the resistance of the connectors I sell, and cool features of products like the JBD BMSs

Plans for new Products

Right now I'm connecting with suppliers on Alibaba to get all sorts of supplies related to building battery packs. some of these items include battery pack cell brackets, Pure nickel strips, heat shrink in various sizes, fish paper insulators, fiber tape, and many more! the only issue is that it will all be shipping via Ocean Freight, which takes months to arrive, so we'll all have to be patient while I get things setup with different suppliers, and make some big purchases.

The upside to this, is once I do get all these items in, I'll be able to undercut any competitor out there, including the likes of amazon on everything I sell!

One of the new product lines that I'll actually be getting in somewhat soon are a new brand of connectors that are essentially a clone of Anderson PowerPole connectors that acre completely compatible, and are even UL Certified. Here's a look at the catalog fort people who want to take a look for themselves.

Right now, I've just placed an order for some 15-45A sized housings and contacts, and a few 75A housings and contacts. which I think is a good starting point. I'll also be including these in the resistance testing I mentioned above so we can see how good they really are.

The last thing to mention product wise is I hope to be receiving my first ever shipment of cells direct from China! after placing the order months ago with my friend in Montreal, I'll be getting some Pre production Tenpower 30XG cells, and EVE 58E cells. so that should be an excellent addition to my lineup of cells.

Anyways, I think that should do for now. I'll hopefully be posting some more blog posts soon, and with any luck, listing new products this month.

Thanks for reading!

Hi, I’m not here to buy today but I really wanted to thank you for opening a store selling well priced cells in Canada. I’ll be sure to recommend and add you to my list of battery stores. Btw, Great choice with these EvE and Tenpower cells you’re getting, they cover the majority of what people want. I wish you great business, from Montreal-ish ahah.
